Framing, drywall, and ceilings that pass inspection the first time.
Florida Acoustical Services builds the metal-stud walls, hangs and finishes the board, and sets the acoustical ceiling grid behind offices, schools, and medical buildouts across West Central and Southwest Florida.
Four trades, one crew, no handoffs
We self-perform every stage from track to tile, so the schedule doesn't slip waiting on a second subcontractor to show up.
Metal Framing
Steel-stud walls, soffits, chases, and ceiling backing built plumb, square, and true to the wall-type schedule — load-bearing and non-load-bearing.
- 20–25 ga. studs
- 16" & 24" O.C. layouts
- Deflection & slip-track details
Drywall Hanging
Board hung tight to pattern with fire and sound-rated assemblies where the wall type calls for it — no gaps at penetrations, no proud screws.
- 5/8" Type X & standard
- Single & double layer
- UL-listed fire assemblies
Finishing
Tape, mud, and sand to the level your spec calls for — from a level 4 knockdown texture to a level 5 skim ready for high-sheen paint.
- Levels 1–5 finish
- Knockdown, orange peel, smooth
- Light patch & repair work
Acoustical Ceilings
Suspended grid laid out from the reflected ceiling plan, leveled to a laser, and tiled clean — no visible sag, no mismatched cuts at the walls.
- 15/16" & 9/16" grid
- Standard & specialty tile
- Seismic & wind-load bracing
What general contractors ask about first
The parts of the job that don't show up in the finished ceiling, but decide whether it goes up on time.
-
Licensed and insured Certified general contractor and specialty license on file, with COIs and bonding available before we're on your subcontractor list.
-
Crews sized to your schedule We staff up for the trades running behind us, not the other way around — we've never been the reason a job slipped a week.
-
Punch list closed before we invoice final We walk the punch list with your PM and clear it before asking for retainage release — not after.

How a job runs, start to closeout

01
Walkthrough & takeoff
We measure the space against your drawings and quantify framing, board, and ceiling grid by wall type.
-
02
Proposal
A bid broken out by trade — framing, drywall, finish, and ceiling — with lead times and a start date you can put on the schedule.
-
03
Layout
Wall types and grid are chalked and lasered before delivery, checked against the RCP so the GC can walk it first.
-
04
Install
Framing, board, finish, and grid go up in sequence, with each stage inspected before the next one starts.
-
05
Closeout
Punch list walked and cleared, space broom-clean and ready for flooring, paint, or the next trade in line.
